Ted Will Riley is a London and Bournemouth-based composer, sound designer and audio producer, formerly credited as Teddy Riley, working across concert music, ballet, film, television and broadcast. His work is defined by a commitment to emotional precision — the belief that sound, when crafted with intention, can reshape how an audience experiences the world in front of them.
Described by the international press as an "acclaimed classical music composer" (Stirworld), his compositional work spans the concert hall and the ballet stage. Most notably, he served as composer on Fusion — the world's first AI ballet, performed at Oper Leipzig in 2023 and covered internationally by Wallpaper*, Surface, Kaltblut Magazine, Stirworld and others. Created with artist and technologist Harry Yeff (REEPS100), the work combines contemporary classical composition, electronica and AI-generated voice.
In October 2025, he performed as part of Louder Than Before at Kings Place, London — the premiere of his original Requiem, composed in collaboration with Shout at Cancer (SAC), a choir of laryngectomy patients who sing without voice boxes. The event was supported by Arts Council England, UCL Brain Sciences and Flanders State of the Art, and was featured in London Daily News coverage of the world's first musical instrument designed for laryngectomy patients. The Requiem has also attracted coverage from Simon Roper — linguist, historian and one of YouTube's most respected voices on language and culture.
He has also composed original music for a BAFTA-nominated film director, and contributed to the VoiceGems 1000-Year Archive with a piece centred on the voice of England World Cup winner Geoff Hurst.
Alongside his compositional practice, Ted has an extensive background in sound design and audio production for advertising and broadcast — working with clients including Newcastle FC / Adidas, Sony Music Entertainment and Spotify. His collaborative work with artist REEPS100 reflects a longstanding interest in the boundary between voice, technology and music.
